Stunning Black-and-White Tour Video for “Funny Thing”

Tyler Kalberg created a video with stunning footage from our last trip to Portland. Then he cut it all to a live version of “Funny Thing.” Check out his beautiful piece of work.

VIDEO: Our Song “FYI,” Live From The Woods

We graced the city of Portland with a little set opening up for Drew Grow and the Pastors Wives at The Woods. The venue is a former funeral parlor and we loved the vibe as we cruised through our set. Here’s a raucous rendition of our usual set-closer, “FYI.” Enjoy!

MORE RADIO LOVE: Friday Mile Featured on KINK 101.9 in Portland

Portland’s KINK 101.9 FM will be featuring Friday Mile on their local music spotlight on Wednesday (1/6/10) night at 9:30 PM.

The good news: you don’t have to be in Portland to listen. You can stream KINK on the Internet and listen to the station live. Tune in and don’t miss out!

According to the KINK web site, our friends Weinland were featured on Dec 30, and Portland’s favorite cocktail-inspired band, Pink Martini, were featured on the last day of 2009.

Stripped Down in Seattle, Powered Up in Portland

There’s a couple special events happening next week in Seattle and Portland, and we really hope we can see you at them.

SEATTLE, SEPT. 8
Hannah and Jace will be performing a stripped down acoustic set on Sept. 8 at the Jewel Box Theatre (at the Rendezvous, 2322 Second Ave., Seattle). Hannah and Jace started playing music together exactly four years ago as a duo, so this will be a special treat.

The show is a showcase for Artist Home Booking. They are our booking agency, and our man Kevin works his ass off to make his bands have great shows to play. Goldfinch (Tacoma), Telegraph Canyon (Texas), and Drew Grow and the Pastors Wives (Portland) will also play. We’ve seen these bands before and can guarantee this will be a great night of music. The show is EARLY, at 6 PM, and the Jewel Box is tiny, so please arrive early if you want to see this show. It will be so intimate, we may wear pajamas.

PORTLAND, SEPT. 9
The next night, we’ll be turning up the volume as we bring our full band down to Portland to make our debut appearance at the Doug Fir, arguably one of the best venues in town. As if that weren’t enough, we’ll be playing with Telegraph Canyon (they are like Arcade Fire meets Texas. Did we mention they kick ass?), and also our good friends Weinland, who call Portland home. Weinland put out a beautiful record earlier this year, and that night they will debut a new music video. We are opening the show, and music starts at 9 PM.
