We are happy to be included on the most recent edition of KEXP’s Music That Matters podcast. This podcast touches on the latest and greatest stuff that KEXP is digging.
This week’s episode is curated by DJ Cheryl Waters and includes tracks from other great bands like Maps, Beach House, People Under the Stairs, Feral Children, and Elba. I’m listening right now, and it’s a good mix of stuff. Friday Mile is nestled right in the middle of the tracklist. Find out which song they chose by listening at KEXP (right side of page under Music That Matters) or subscribe on iTunes. Or, just download the entire show on MP3.
If you like what you hear, be sure to donate to KEXP whenever you can. They are listener-supported and music lovers around the world are better for having this station around. They do amazing things for the Seattle music community.
Two of our favorite record stores here in Seattle are now stocking Good Luck Studio. Sonic Boom Records, in Ballard, has the album in stock and also has it available on their listening station. If you haven’t yet sampled some songs from the new album, now is your chance to give it a listen.

And if you find yourself in Queen Anne, step into Easy Street Records’ awesome store and go straight to the Fs in the Pop/Rock section. That’s where you’ll find us. We aren’t on the listening station there (yet), but we’ll let you know when that happens.

A month ago, Friday Mile stopped moving. Almost for good. Recording their new album,Good Luck Studio, had eaten up the better part of a year. It got expensive. Record labels weren’t returning calls. Jace Krause, the lead singer and primary songwriter, was too distracted by the stress of recording to write new material. To make matters worse, band members stopped getting along, especially Krause and Hannah Williams, who shares vocals and plays keyboards. Read the entire article…
For the record, SW called Good Luck Studio a “a clean, smartly arranged album.”

We are happy to unveil the latest Ty Kalberg-designed product: a short run of tri-blend American Apparel track shirts with a Friday Mile splatter design. We have a v-neck gray shirt for women and a charcoal black crew neck for men. They are also very soft, which means you’ll be really comfortable while wearing them. Your comfort is our passion.
We will sell these at the CD release shows this weekend (don’t forget to attend). After that, we’ll put them up in our store.
