Portland’s KINK 101.9 FM will be featuring Friday Mile on their local music spotlight on Wednesday (1/6/10) night at 9:30 PM.
The good news: you don’t have to be in Portland to listen. You can stream KINK on the Internet and listen to the station live. Tune in and don’t miss out!
According to the KINK web site, our friends Weinland were featured on Dec 30, and Portland’s favorite cocktail-inspired band, Pink Martini, were featured on the last day of 2009.
We are starting 2010 with a fresh look at www.fridaymile.com.
Enjoy the nice clean layout, and all the extra features. Listen to some of the music and feel free to download Autograph, available for absolutely nothing. We’ll soon have additional features, so come back often.

We are happy to be included on the most recent edition of KEXP’s Music That Matters podcast. This podcast touches on the latest and greatest stuff that KEXP is digging.
This week’s episode is curated by DJ Cheryl Waters and includes tracks from other great bands like Maps, Beach House, People Under the Stairs, Feral Children, and Elba. I’m listening right now, and it’s a good mix of stuff. Friday Mile is nestled right in the middle of the tracklist. Find out which song they chose by listening at KEXP (right side of page under Music That Matters) or subscribe on iTunes. Or, just download the entire show on MP3.
If you like what you hear, be sure to donate to KEXP whenever you can. They are listener-supported and music lovers around the world are better for having this station around. They do amazing things for the Seattle music community.
Two of our favorite record stores here in Seattle are now stocking Good Luck Studio. Sonic Boom Records, in Ballard, has the album in stock and also has it available on their listening station. If you haven’t yet sampled some songs from the new album, now is your chance to give it a listen.

And if you find yourself in Queen Anne, step into Easy Street Records’ awesome store and go straight to the Fs in the Pop/Rock section. That’s where you’ll find us. We aren’t on the listening station there (yet), but we’ll let you know when that happens.
